Customers of Gemini are owed $900,000,000 by Genesis.

Customers of Gemini, the cryptocurrency exchange founded by Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, claim that cryptocurrency brokerage Genesis owes them $900 million.

The sum is owed to the exchange’s users by parent company Digital Currency Group (DCG) and Genesis, according to a Financial Times investigation.

The article stated that Gemini is working to recover the monies and that the exchange is also establishing a creditors’ committee in an effort to reclaim the assets.

One of the partners in Gemini’s Earn program, which allows users to lend out their cryptocurrency in exchange for rewards, is Genesis. Genesis had earlier this month temporarily halted withdrawals due to market conditions; as a result, the cryptocurrency exchange stopped redemptions from this program. According to a report from last week, it has since cooperated with DCG and Genesis to facilitate redemptions from the program.
